Junior Quantity Surveyor All Site Professional is recruiting a Junior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a confidential client in the property development and construction sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation delivering high-quality residential and commercial developments across the West of Ireland. Working alongside an experienced Project Manager and Senior Consultant Quantity Surveyor, you'll gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, taking on real responsibility while developing your career. The Role Reporting to the Project Manager, with support from a Senior Consultant Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in the commercial management of multiple live construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Procure subcontract packages from enquiry through to appointment.
Obtain, evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Prepare subcontract appointment recommendations and agreements.
Source and negotiate competitive material pricing.
Review subcontractor payment applications and assist with final accounts.
Manage commercial processes within Buildertrend, including procurement, contracts, variations, budgets, commitments and reporting.
Maintain procurement schedules and commercial trackers.
Monitor procurement against project programmes.
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers throughout project delivery.
Prepare monthly commercial and procurement reports.
Identify commercial risks, procurement issues and value engineering opportunities.
Support the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
About You You will ideally have:
A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
1-3 years' experience with a contractor, developer or consultancy (graduates with relevant placement experience will also be considered).
Strong commercial awareness and a willingness to learn.
Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
The ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
