Project Manager

Location: Dublin

Work Type: Permanent / Full Time

Job Ref: 1328291

Our client is a market-leading exhibition and stand contractor with 30+ years of industry expertise, delivering bespoke builds for some of Ireland's most recognised brands including Brown Thomas and Arnotts. They design, fabricate, and construct custom exhibition stands, pop-up sets, and full retail shop fits, managing every stage from initial concept through to final installation. This is a business built on precision craftsmanship, tight deadlines, and exceptional client relationships.

The Opportunity This is not a desk-based project coordination role. We are looking for a hands-on Construction Project Manager who has physically delivered builds — someone who understands workshop fabrication, on-site installation, and the pressure of event deadlines. You will own projects end-to-end across exhibitions, retail environments, and live event pop-ups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of custom exhibition stands, event pop-ups, and retail shop fits — from brief and design coordination through fabrication, logistics, and on-site installation
  • Manage and coordinate workshop teams, specialist contractors, riggers, electricians, and transport to hit tight build schedules
  • Own project P&L, budgets, and cost forecasting — identifying risks early and resolving them fast
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients, managing expectations and ensuring flawless handovers
  • Enforce timelines through structured project reviews; prepare and implement RAMS and compliance documentation
  • Troubleshoot on-site issues in real time — you will be expected on the tools and on the ground when it matters
You Must Have
  • 3+ years of construction project management experience — exhibition stands, shop fits, pop-ups, temporary structures, or modular builds essential
  • Demonstrable experience managing multi-trade builds involving electrics, rigging, carpentry, and logistics simultaneously
  • Strong command of budgeting, procurement, and contractor management
  • Experience working to live event or retail installation deadlines — you understand that delays are not an option
  • T3/B-Matrix system experience is a strong advantage
  • Prince2, SMSTS, or equivalent construction qualification desirable
  • Valid Manual Handling and Safety Training certificates required
  • Excellent communicator — comfortable managing clients at senior/brand level and workshop crews equally
What's on Offer
  • €60,000+ salary DOE
  • Join an established, well-respected contractor with a premium client portfolio
  • Varied, fast-paced work across live events and high-end retail environments
  • Long-term career development opportunity
