Facility Manager – Waste Processing Site | Dublin 12 We are recruiting a Facility Manager for a busy and expanding waste processing site in Dublin 12. This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of a growing Irish business scaling across multiple sites and investing heavily in new infrastructure. If you have a background as a Site Foreman or come from a similar operational leadership role, you'll feel right at home here — this position is built for someone who leads from the front, drives compliance, and gets results through people.
Staff & Team Leadership
Lead and manage a diverse team including picking line operatives, machine drivers, and weighbridge staff
Build and maintain staff rosters, mentor team members, and drive throughput performance
Oversee weighbridge operations including night shift management
Foster a safety-first, performance-driven workplace culture
Plant & Facility Performance
Collaborate with the maintenance team to optimise plant performance and minimise downtime
Liaise directly with plant suppliers on SLAs, scheduled maintenance, and equipment upgrades
Identify and implement cost-saving measures, including energy efficiency improvements
Drive continuous improvement in material throughput and operational output
Site Licensing & Regulatory Compliance
Manage full compliance with EPA licence conditions and waste storage regulations
Maintain accurate records on skip classification, odour and dust control, and material quality
Coordinate with the EHS team on site inspections and communications with neighbours
Ensure timely and compliant movement of materials to and from all outlets
Yard & Logistics Operations
Oversee general yard operations including stock levels for bins, skips, and roll-ons
Ensure site standards and staff facilities are maintained to a high standard
Develop and implement traffic management plans in coordination with Transport and EHS teams
Apply working knowledge of heavy plant machinery including front loaders
What We're Looking For Essential:
Proven experience in facility management, site supervision, depot operations, or a similar industrial/construction setting — candidates with a Site Foreman background are strongly encouraged to apply
Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on, on-the-ground approach
Solid understanding of regulatory compliance (EPA, health & safety legislation)
Operational knowledge of plant and material handling processes
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
Experience operating or overseeing heavy plant machinery (front loaders, etc.)
Knowledge of weighbridge operations and night shift management
Familiarity with environmental compliance documentation and EPA reporting
Working Hours
40 hours per week, structured around business requirements
Some flexibility may be required based on operational needs
