DGR is recruiting a project manager on behalf of a leading exhibition and stand contractor with 30+ years of expertise. The company designs, fabricates, and builds bespoke pop-up sets, exhibition stands, and full shop fits for high-profile clients including Brown Thomas and Arnotts, managing complete construction projects from concept through installation for major events and retail environments. Join the team as a Construction Project Manager to oversee builds for dynamic event pop-ups, stands, and retail shop fits, delivering flawless results on time and budget. This role demands strong construction leadership across workshops, sites, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end construction of modular/custom exhibition stands, pop-up sets, and shop fits (e.g., Brown Thomas, Arnotts), including timelines, budgets, and quality control.
Coordinate with workshop teams, suppliers, contractors, third parties, in-house staff, and clients for fabrication, electrics, rigging, transport, and installations.
Track project P&L, budgeting, forecasting; liaise extensively with clients and stakeholders; ensure strict timeline adherence via reviews and RAMS.
Resolve issues, maintain compliance/safety, and handle client handovers for events and retail.
Requirements
3+ years in construction project management, ideally with exhibition stands, pop-ups, shop fits, or temporary structures (T3/B-Matrix experience a plus).
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, logistics; expertise in budgeting, client/third-party liaison, and timeline enforcement essential.
Excellent organisational/communication skills for fast-paced environments; construction background preferred.
Prince2/construction certs desirable; valid manual handling/safety training required.
