Overview:
Our client, located in Clondalkin, is looking to hire a dependable and skilled Truck Driver to become part of their team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid full CE driving license, hold current CPC certifications, and display a strong commitment to work. This role involves a mix of tasks including transporting plant and powered access machinery and equipment, both on-site and on public roads, providing a varied and engaging workload.
 
Primary Duties:
  • Operate a truck safely and efficiently to transport machinery and equipment as required.
  • Load plant and powered access machinery and equipment within the yard.
  • Unload equipment upon delivery to designated locations.
  • Comply with all applicable road transport laws and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and promptly report any vehicle issues.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records such as mileage, fuel use, and any incidents or delays.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and customers to coordinate schedules and troubleshoot any operational concerns.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe workplace.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Strong verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Must hold a full CE driving license with a clean driving record.
  • Up-to-date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) required.
  • Demonstrated experience as a truck driver.
  • Excellent driving abilities with a focus on safety and operational efficiency.
  • Attention to detail in paperwork and record-keeping.
  • Physically fit to handle manual tasks including loading and unloading equipment.
  • Reliable and punctual.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, with some Saturday shifts available.
  • Expected annual earnings between €40,000 and €50,000.
