The Role:
The Junior Transport Planner role works is a vital part of support to all other centralised departments, scheduling, admin, customer service etc. to ensure the customers expectation can be fulfilled efficiently on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure timely departure of drivers and trucks daily. · Monitor and report on vehicle routes, capturing essential data. · Analyse monitoring data for expected results. · Report anomalies to third-party providers and facilitate resolutions. · Update daily rosters and coordinate ad hoc work with crews. · Communicate updates within the scheduling department. · Debrief drivers at the end of the day and address their queries. · Handle paperwork, including afternoon dockets and manifests. · Address breakdowns, accidents, incidents, and driver issues. · Respond to internal and external emails promptly. · Collaborate with other departments for a seamless service loop. · Work flexibly in a multi-skilled environment with a positive attitude. · Assist with route optimization through analysis. · Verify completed routes and manage resources efficiently. · Monitor workload to avoid over commitment and update the call center. · Maintain high service levels and ensure timely completion of scheduled work. · Support the scheduling team's goal of achieving daily work completion. · Provide remote assistance to crews during the day. The Offer:
